About Me
Hello, I’m Nisha Raja, and I’ve been dedicated to working in mental health since 2011, starting as a NHS Healthcare Support Worker in a mental health unit. I then transitioned to community-based work before joining the NHS’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme (currently known as NHS Talking Therapies). In 2019, I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and I am proud to be accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

My Services
I provide therapy for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, including depression, and anxiety disorders such as health anxiety, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, post-traumatic stress disorder and specific disorders, and individuals with long-term conditions.
I begin therapy with a comprehensive assessment, usually lasting around 60 minutes, where we’ll discuss your needs and goals. From there, we can agree on a number of sessions that feel right for you.
As a CBT therapist, I follow the guidelines set by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), ensuring that the care I provide is both effective and evidence-based. My ultimate goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered through your journey toward better mental health.

My Interests
Outside of work, I’m busy raising my three beautiful children with my husband. Family is very important to me, and I cherish spending quality time with them. In my spare time, I love going for walks, watching films including the following genres: drama, fantasy, animation and documentary, reading fiction books and anything that allows me to unwind and relax.
My Availability
I am available to see clients Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, with additional evening availability on Wednesday and Thursday. I offer both remote and face-to-face sessions, providing flexibility to meet your needs.
